Welcome to the New Superbrass Music Publishing initiative - First Access Brass (FAB) The aim of this particular resource is to give ‘First Access’ beginner brass players the opportunity to participate in meaningful rehearsals and performances alongside a more experienced brass ensemble, comprising more able and senior students or even professional musicians. The educational benefits and inspiration an experience such as this provides is immeasurable. With a strong rhythmic slant, each piece seeks to capture a particular style or mood, whilst still being accessible to beginner students and extremely fun to play. Crucially, each title began life exclusively as a ‘First Access’ melody or riff, with the more ‘senior’ ensemble material being added to supplement this. Each piece comprises parts in all transpositions, for the more experienced brass quintet accompanied by an essential drum kit, alongside an across-the-board line-up of beginner parts for all brass instruments in all varieties of transpositions
